About
Where the answers come from.
Sharp AI searches FTC documentation and then writes up what it found. It is not a chatbot recalling FTC from memory, which is why it can show you the page behind every claim, and why it will tell you when it has nothing.
What is indexed
About 3,500 sections in total. The big ones are the official FTC Docs, REV, Game Manual 0, the FTC SDK javadocs and sample OpModes, Chief Delphi, Pedro Pathing, Road Runner, CTRL ALT FTC and FTCLib. Everything is split by heading section, so a citation lands on the part of the page it came from rather than the top of it.
Three levels of access
What a source lets us do with its text decides how it gets used, and the rule is applied on the server when the prompt is assembled, not in the page you are reading.
Game Manual 0, the FTC Docs and the SDK reference publish open licences, so they are read in full and quoted with a citation.
The FIRST Competition Manual and the Pedro Pathing docs are summarised but never quoted. You get the substance in Sharp AI's own words plus a link, and their text is never stored on an answer page.
REV, Chief Delphi, Road Runner, CTRL ALT FTC and FTCLib publish no licence, which means all rights reserved. Only the page title, its place in the docs and the URL are stored. Ask about Road Runner tuning and you get the page named and linked, rather than a paraphrase of something we have no right to reproduce or a guess improvised from a nearby page.
What is deliberately not indexed
LearnRoadRunner is excluded: it documents Road Runner 0.5 and would produce confidently wrong answers for teams on current versions.
Game Manual Part 1 and Part 2 and the official Q&A are copyright FIRST and are not openly licensed, so their text is never stored on an answer page. The Competition Manual currently indexed is the 2026-2027 preseason release, and most of its game sections are still placeholders until the September 2026 kickoff. Ask about a specific rule and you should check the manual yourself.
Why there are no ads
Game Manual 0 is published under CC BY-NC 4.0. Non-commercial means non-commercial. This site will never carry advertising, a paid tier or a sponsorship, for as long as it uses that corpus.
When it refuses
If nothing in the index is a genuine match for your question, Sharp AI says so instead of improvising. That check runs on the retrieval scores before any language model is called, which is also what keeps the service inside a free tier.
Verify everything that matters
Answers are model-written from retrieved text and can be wrong. The source section is shown beside every answer so you can check it in one glance. For anything rules-related, the official Game Manual is the only authority.
